Woylaa.com – You do not live in the real world if you never heard of Korean girl band, Girls’ Generation and its typical Korean clothes styles. We cannot deny that the popularity of this particular group is massive when they won YouTube Music Award last year with the category of Video of the Year through their music video, ‘I Got A Boy’, beating its major competitor in the same category, Hollywood singer Lady Gaga.
As the symbol of South Korea fashionista girl group, members of Girls’ Generation always bring their best in appearance and style, and gain recognition from the international world not only for their musical ability, but also for their sophisticated sense of style.
Since their debut in 2007, people mostly see them bringing the feminine element in their outfit but we can recognize that their style has changed from time to time, bringing different concept and embracing variety of Korean clothes in their comeback videos. Form girly to boyish, colorful to black and white, until recently, they bring flare skirt ‘come back to live’ and popular in their latest ‘Mr. Mr’ music video.
Girls’ Generation is, unquestionably, the most famous and fashionable girl group in South Korea. Not only their group fashion, each member’s sense of style is known to be outstanding and sophisticated. Fancy stage outfits combined with typical modern Korean clothes styles are major in the fashion business, where their style is often followed by the fans or fashionist community. Combining both masculine and feminine element, Girls’ Generation members shoed stunning appearance in their latest music video.
Bring Flare Skirt Back in Track
After they showed funky concept in ‘I Got A Boy’, Girls’ Generation now back to its feminine style in their latest music video, where they mainly dressed with something similar to ‘maid outfit’, in black and white color. The dress has similar design to ballet skirt that splays in the bottom part of the dress. In the music video, you will see that the dress is dominated with black and white color, but when they perfom on the stage, the member bring more color to their outfit such as pink.
The flare skirt, for the stage outfit, is well-matched with colorful top to add feminine element and flirtiness. The Korean clothes in this MV are very eye-catching yet still wearable for certain occasion, like going for a date or formal-casual dinner with your lover.
Add the Touch of Boyish Character
It’s true when I said fusion, because Girls’ Generation combined the two characteristics of Korean clothes styles; the feminine side and masculine element. They wear shirt combined with tie and denim just like what men wear in their performance.
While in the MV the outfit has B&W color, they once again bring more ‘life’ in the stage by wearing colorful outfit such as yellow. The most interesting part is that they wear white outfit with coat that give the masculine look, but combine them with high hells for feminine element.
Although it seems unusual, but the trend of flare skirt for feminine look is raising, while the boyish attire; shirt, jeans, with cap are still wearable for unique Korean clothes street style. Don’t miss : Korean Women Style for Trendy Mall Strolling in The Master’s Sun
